Bella is Vice-Chairman of MAITS. Bella has a MA in History from Oxford University. and a Msc in Rural Estate Management from the Royal Agricultural University She also has a diploma in law and qualified as a litigation solicitor in 2005 with Herbert Smith Freehills LLP. Bella has also worked as a family solicitor. She is a qualified mediator and has her own mediation practice. Bella has nearly 20 years of experience of trusteeships, helping guide charities and schools with their strategic decisions.

David is a lawyer with many years experience in the private sector working in the construction and pharmaceutical sectors. He supported GlaxoSmithKline’s CSR programme for a number of years and since 2019 has worked exclusively in the not-for-profit sector where he is a trustee of a number of charities based in the UK and in overseas markets.

With over 36 years of dedicated service in education, Geraldine brings a wealth of experience and expertise to the table. Beginning her journey in the vibrant educational landscape of London in 1986, Geraldine’s passion for inclusive learning led her to specialise in teaching pupils with children with special needs Her journey evolved at Whitefield Schools and Centre, where she spent over 25 years shaping young minds and contributing to the field of special education.

Geraldine’s dedication to inclusive education has earned her recognition, including a nomination for the Point of Light Award in 2019.

Meheen studied at the London School of Economics and currently manages the Rangoonwala Foundation from its head office in London. Rangoonwala Foundation is a private family foundation that serves both as a grant maker and implementer of its own programmes in the areas of Health, Livelihoods, Community Empowerment and the Environment. Prior to this she worked at Deutsche Bank in its Global Credit Trading division. She is also the Chair and founder of the UK registered charity MAITS (Multi Agency International Training and Support) which focuses on offering support to organisations in developing countries that provide services to people with disabilities and special educational needs.

With over twenty-five years of diverse experience spanning various sectors including construction, manufacturing, and hospitality, Monika brings a wealth of expertise to the table. With seventeen years dedicated to the food service industry, fifteen of which were spent at senior management level, Monika’s proficiency in accounting is unmatched. Known for her persistence and commitment, she excels in all aspects of business administration, with a solid foundation in financial management and a thorough understanding of the technical intricacies of the food industry. Monika’s dedication to establishing and maintaining high operational standards is evident through effective communication, troubleshooting, and the development of internal systems. Now joining MAITS Trust Board to leverage her extensive accounting experience and contribute value to her next endeavour.

Tina Gericke has worked as a Paediatric Occupational Therapist for over 40 years. She trained then worked in the UK, Canada, and in and around Europe. More recently she has worked in Low and Middle Income Countries. She has a particular interest and experience working with children with cerebral palsy and their families. She holds a MSc in Occupational Therapy and a Masters in Applied Professional Research.
